Aftercare Instructions

Eyebrows

FOR BEST RESULTS, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES

  • Wash your face gently and be especially careful around the brow area. Pat them with a clean cotton pad. DO NOT rub your brows.

  • During the healing process, only use products we have recommended for you. Using any skincare products that contain retinol or glycolic acid can affect the pigment.

  • Let the scabs fall off naturally. Avoid picking, peeling or itching the brow area for two weeks, especially when it starts to scab. Picking off scabs could pull off areas of pigment with them.

  • Do not wear makeup for at least ten days. Don't be tempted to wear makeup on the rest of your face (avoiding the treated area), because makeup and removal products can still come in contact with the brow area.

  • Avoid getting your brows wet for at least one week after your procedure. This means no saunas, hot tubs, swimming or getting your face wet in the shower. Try to avoid washing your hair for the first few days following your procedure.

  • Avoid any chemical peel or laser treatment for at least two weeks following your procedure.

  • It's recommended you sleep on a clean pillowcase for the first few days following your procedure. It's also recommended that you sleep face up if possible.

  • Avoid all exercise that will make you sweat for two weeks after your procedure.

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks after your procedure.

  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption for two weeks following your procedure.

Lips

FOR BEST RESULTS, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES

  • Your swollen lips will need aftercare attention immediately following the procedure. Blot lips frequently using a clean, damp cotton pad and start applying a THIN layer of the recommended ointment.

  • Do not eat for a couple of hours following the procedure and drink through a straw.

  • A cold compress may be applied to your lips to help with the swelling.

  • Clean your lips after every meal. Take care to clean with a gentle cleanser and make sure to pat lips dry with a clean cotton pad. Continue to apply the recommended ointment after cleaning and when lips feel dry and/or tight until all peeling has finished.

  • Avoid hot, spicy, and salty foods as it may cause irritation to the lips.

  • It's recommended you sleep on a clean pillowcase for the first few days following your procedure. It's also recommended that you sleep face up if possible.

  • Refrain from doing vigorous exercise until lips have completely healed.

  • Do not wear any makeup until all peeling has finished.

  • All normal skincare routines can resume when lips have completely healed. But do be aware that using retinol and acid based products can accelerate fading of the pigment in your lips.

  • Avoid sun exposure until your lips have completely healed. Then make sure to use SPF, as sun can also fade the pigment in your lips.

  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption for two weeks following your procedure.
